23rd-Nov-2009 11:32 pm - TOUR09: AVT ~ And there it is.
The San Francisco live has just wrapped up, sealing off the end of the North/South American leg of Tour09: All Visible Things. I hope everyone had a fucking blast (I know that I sure as hell did), enjoyed rocking out to the UROBOROS tracks (and maybe some oldies), and got to shake hands with their favorite DEG members. This tour was definitely worth the pain of the pre-tour: presales, DEG management, and the like. This has been my favorite DEG experience yet; I hope everyone got what they wanted, and will back for the next tour~ see you guys next time. ;)

This community will be left open for live reports, etc. I'll be posting a conclusive "Tour Stats" post with the entire selection of setlists, etc., soon enough.

DEG love.

17th-Nov-2009 08:02 pm - Chicago Show.
I wrote what I guess you could call a report of the Chicago show. Figured I would share it here. Sorry there aren't many pictures, the crowd was brutal and security was on everyone they could catch about it.

Read it here if you like.

maru's face
hehehe, some one else did it, and now I'm curious. Anyone else staying at the Best Western near the venue at the Chicago show? Thought it'd be nice to know if there was anyone else that would be there from the show.

4th-Nov-2009 05:36 pm - Hollywood - Best Western
I figure some people have to be staying over in LA for the House of Blues shows soooooo, just for general curiosity, is anyone staying at the Best Western right next to the venue? I'm sure we'd be able to spot each other around the block anyway due to various amounts of dir en grey swag, but it'd just be nice to know if anyone else is rooming in the same hotel :)
4th-Nov-2009 04:08 pm - Question,
For anyone that has already been to the lives at TX what are they selling and for how much and if there are shirts, how much are they and the designs?

Thank you! :D

"Dir En Grey Rare NYC In-Store Appearance - Tuesday, November 10th

For Immediate Release:
The Diva Review

Dir En Grey
Rare NYC In-Store Appearance - Tuesday, November 10th
Formed in 1997, the band Dir En Grey tore down musical borders by becoming the first Japanese rock group invited to join Korn on their US Family Values Tour. They have consistently sold out performances in Europe, including in such select cities as Paris and Berlin, as well as filling venues to capacity during back-to-back performances in Los Angeles and New York City.
Billboard Magazine commented that Dir En Grey "ignited a frenzied response with their first three U.S. shows." In 2006, the music video for their song 'Saku' was voted #1 Video of the Year on the MTV2 show, Headbanger's Ball, a groundbreaking first for a non-English speaking import act.
We are pleased to announce that in celebration of their scheduled 3-night performance at New York City's Blender Theater at Gramercy, and upcoming DVD release, Average Blasphemy, that Dir En Grey will be part of a special event hosted by The Lady MizDiva Vélez of the acclaimed pop culture showcase, TheDivaReview.com.
On the evening of Tuesday, November 10th at Kinokuniya Bookstore in New York City, Dir En Grey will take part in a live interview hosted by The Lady Miz Diva discussing the band's history and their All Visible Things Tour 09, as well as play clips from their newly-released DVD, Average Blasphemy.  The band will also sign autographs for 200 attendees.
This TRL-reminiscent event will be visible along New York City's famed Bryant Park, via the windows of Kinokuniya Bookstore, located opposite the park at 1073 Avenue of the Americas. Crowds of Dir En Grey fans will be able to view and cheer for their idols, making sure the event will be an unforgettable experience.
Your coverage is invited.
Date: November 10th, 2009, 7PM load-in for 7:45 photo call with the band. Panel will start at 8PM.
Location: Kinokuniya Bookstore, 1073 Avenue of the Americas, between 40th & 41st Sts. 2nd Floor.
DEGSweepstakes@TheDivaReview.com and Kinokuniya's phone # is (212) 869-1700‎***

Wow!  This is apparently by invite only and tickets need to be won through the Diva Review website.  I won't be able to go, but good luck to all of you who enter!  Especially those of you who purchased the 3-night pack - now it can be 4 nights of Dir en grey!  haha

***EDIT: The Diva Review contacted me and thanked me for posting this but there was an error with the contact information provided.  Please use the above e-mail address to enter the sweepstakes and the number to Kinokuniya to ask questions!  Thanks!***

Alright, I texted my friend who couldn't be there with me the setlist as it was happening, so I'm confident about the order. I'm a little unsure if I got the right Uroboros songs. TOUR09AVT is finally fucking kicking off today (FUCK YEAH), so I just wanted to post a reminder and encourage those Houston attendees to post live reports and setlists as soon and as abundantly as humanly possible. Have fun tonight, keep your swine flus to yourself, and remember that the DEG fanbase doesnt need more drama :'D

And to everyone else: Enjoy the tour, rock the fuck out, and post your shit like it's nobody's business. Yeah.

31st-Oct-2009 03:00 pm - House of Blues Sunset Strip Parking?
Dir en grey - Kyo THE FINAL
So, other that the 15$ valet parking, are there any other  possibly cheaper, somewhat close options for parking? I'm probably coming by myself for at least one show and I dont want to get stuck with 15$ in parking or having to walk a million blocks to my car alone at night. >_<

Basically, where are you planning on parking if you're taking a car?

29th-Oct-2009 12:26 am - [Sell] NYC
Hello everyone~!

Through circumstances that will be much funnier once I'm less poor, I wound up with an extra set of VIP tickets for all of the New York shows. In other words, a ticket for each night they're rocking NYC.

I'm looking to make my money back on the tickets cause I dropped an unintentionally large chunk of change on these bad boys. I'll take bids on individual tickets starting from $30 and maxing at $45. Anyone who wants all three in one go will get priority and the cost is a flat $120. I'll be at all three shows, so there's no need for shipping costs. Bidding open til end of Sunday, November 1st.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the set of 3 I'm selling is the VIP 2 set. The three tickets will come with the special offer t-shirt. Size is S.

Anyone interested in the whole set or combinations, please comment below.

UPDATE: 11/14 Ticket sold. Set no longer available. Thank you everyone.
28th-Oct-2009 09:26 pm - Uhh..
I'm wondering if anyone that can't make it to the Nov. 14 show at the Gramercy Theater is selling their ticket because my friend being stupid was being lazy and waited till today to buy his ticket and they closed the sales, so yeah does anyone have a ticket?
