A bit of interesting info...
4th-Oct-2009 05:55 pm
Hey guys~ I just wanted to repost a bit of info tati_saurus_rex mentioned in the below entry, just as an 'FYI' I'm sure most of you pre-sale ticket buyers will be interested in.

Note: If you stumble across or hear anything interesting, feel free to post it; don't have any qualms about creating new entries. (I'll be updating the comm profile for those of you who need a specific set of terms to post by -- I figured that as this community will only last a few months, it wasn't terribly needed.)

"lol well I called to see if the balcony would be open for the show (because I don't wanna get smashed being pregnant and all) and he said that there would be no special seating or anything, but "those who have the...uh...VIP tickets, something special is going on for them."

I asked him to elaborate but he laughed and said he had already said too much. I'm guessing those with VIP get to cut the line or something like that. Only 10% of tickets for each venue were VIP tickets and seeing as most venues are less than 1,000 capacity I would assume that those people do get something extra other than a shirt. Most VIP tickets didn't even sell out"

(tati_saurus_rex, if you don't want this up here, I'll be more than happy to take it down)

Hopefully we'll receive more specific information as time passes, or maybe when we begin to get our VIP packages in the mail. Perhaps, this will turn out to be a "special" tour after all.

Oh fun! I new there had to be something else, what with them advertising how super duper special this was gonna be. Cut the line would be fun, but I can imagine all sorts of drama with that... I'd doubt a meet and greet since there's too many people for that, but maybe a signing session? Though I don't see how that would be "special" since we've had those (not to say it's not awesome anyways). So many possibilities!

Actually, I kinda hope it is cut the line, just so maybe it will deter people from waiting outside for so long for once (since VIP can get there whenever and cut, so non-VIP probably wouldn't want to wait forever either...). It's so not healthy for us xD

They're supposed to be sending out emails this week about t-shirt sizing, right? Maybe they'll say then what the other possible bonuses are.

i will be so pissed if it's a meet and greet or cutting in line.

actually, that'll just be bull shit. Meet and greet, whatever, who cares, but if it's cut the line and they just decide to not tell us, I'm going to be seriously pissed off if they don't tell us until doors. You can't let people line up for 30+ hours in the fucking cold then tell them, oh VIP gets to go in early!

Rofl, that's not funny. Seriously.

aaah very cool stuff, man, thanks for the info :Db hm. A cut in line... probably wouldn't do much for me, anyway XD

Yeah, seriously, for those of us who get there insanely early, anyway ^^*

Can I ask what venue you called tati_saurus_rex?

Either way, this is interesting information. Thanks for this, and hopefully we'll find out soon. As happy as I would be with "cut the line" deal, I almost feel like that's cheating, and I'd rather rightfully get my spot wherever it is by waiting. (I like waiting in lines. I'm weird? I know.) *waits impatiently*

hmm, that is interesting! I rather hope it's not cutting in line because I won't be there until after the doors open, possibly after the concert starts... besides, it seems so very mean to announce something like that after VIP sales. I'd feel bad about it, because it seemed the only special thing with them was the t-shirt.

well, we'll see. I'm certainly curious though.

I thought there might be something more, because they labeled them as "VIP" instead of just "Exclusive" or "Limited."

It should be interesting, though I hope it wont cause much of an uproar...

I wonder it could be. Line jumping would be convient for me since I dont live in LA but I would hate to just jump ahead of people.
5th-Oct-2009 04:31 am (UTC)
I'm more worried about the HOB line-jumping policies than the VIP tickets. :X

I'd recommend calling them about it, cause unless they changed things it's a real bitch. Plus (if the VIP IS line jumping) it would be interesting to know which one HoB would honor more... even with your VIP ticket, would people who bought $30 worth of crap still get to go in before you?

That... would be a real mess. It wouldn't even matter who got there when, you'd have restaurant eaters, souvenier buyers, AND VIP ticket buyers all hopping the line in some order or another. Oh it makes my head hurt just thinking of it!

"Line jumping policies"? I dont understand. would they be against line jumping?

Oh snap, I wonder if the Metro is going to get in trouble for leaking secrets, now that the internet knows.
